Ethan Lē /lei/
Ethan Lē (American, b. 2001) is a designer and creative based in Dallas, Texas, committed to advancing accessibility and inclusivity in design. In 2016, Lē achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first student in their school to produce a state-qualified artwork at the Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE), earning exemplary marks for his work. This early recognition propelled Lē forward, and his talent for visual communication continued to blossom, culminating in the award of a VASE 2D scholarship.
During his undergraduate years, Lē sharpened his design acumen as an Apparel Designer at the University of Texas at Austin College of Natural Sciences. In 2024, Lē graduated with a Business degree from Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, enriched by a transformative study abroad experience at the National University of Singapore.
Lē's commitment to promoting accessibility and inclusivity in design extends beyond his personal pursuits. They have made significant contributions to the field by teaching design at Apple as a Creative Pro and collaborating with non-profit organizations like the Lighthouse for the Blind, Best Buddies, and Central Texas Food Bank ensuring that design solutions are accessible to all individuals.
In addition to his design pursuits, Lē expanded into art dealing, partnering with esteemed platforms such as Artsy and Heritage Auctions. As a consigner, Lē featured the works of renowned contemporary artists like Takashi Murakami, Little Thunder, Yoshitomo Nara, KAWS, etc. facilitating the showcasing and sale of pieces from his private collection. Through these partnerships, Lē's curated selections garnered global attention, reflecting his commitment to fostering creativity within the art world while navigating its intricacies with finesse.
